What We're Really Building Here

When people visit Bobby's Farm for the first time, they usually notice the obvious things first. The open space. The trees. The fresh air. The fact that, despite being close to Pune, it somehow feels removed from the noise and rush of the city.
What they don't always see is that none of this was originally built with guests in mind.
For most of its life, this farm was simply a place our family came to spend time together. It was where weekends slowed down a little. Where conversations happened without constantly checking the time. Where birthdays, meals, and small family moments unfolded naturally, without much planning.
As the years passed and Pune continued to grow around us, we started to realise how rare that feeling had become.
Most of us spend our lives moving between meetings, notifications, traffic, and endless to-do lists. Even celebrations can start feeling rushed. We book a venue, follow a schedule, take photographs, and before we know it, the day is over.
The moments that are meant to bring people together often leave very little room for people to simply be together.
That was the thought that stayed with us as we began opening Bobby's Farm to others.
Of course, we're building a wedding venue near Pune. We're creating a space for family celebrations, private gatherings, and corporate events. There are practical things that come with that. Infrastructure needs to be developed. Facilities need to improve. Every year brings a new project, a new idea, or a new corner of the farm that needs attention.
But underneath all of that, we're building something much less tangible.
We're trying to create a place where people can be present.
A place where a wedding feels less like a production and more like a celebration. Where families can spread out across open spaces instead of being confined to four walls. Where guests can linger after dinner because nobody is in a hurry to leave.
The most memorable moments at the farm are rarely the ones that were planned.
They're the conversations that happen after the formalities are over. The grandparents sitting together under a tree. The children turning an empty patch of grass into an adventure. The laughter that carries across the property long after the music has stopped.
Those are the moments people talk about when they leave.
And if we're honest, those are the moments we care about most too.
As Bobby's Farm continues to grow, we'll keep improving the property and expanding what it can offer. But our goal isn't simply to become another event venue in Pune.
We're trying to protect something that feels increasingly difficult to find.
Space.
Time.
Connection.
The opportunity to gather with the people who matter most and enjoy their company without feeling rushed.
If people leave Bobby's Farm with beautiful photographs, we're happy. If they leave with memories they'll talk about years later, then we've done what we set out to do.
That's what we're really building here.
